Q: What is the delivery time for my wine once the order is placed?
A: Once the order is placed, Passportwineandspirits.com will ship the order within 7 days, plus the shipping time, delivery time could take upto 5 days. So in total time it could take upto 12 business days shipping ground
Passportwineandspirits.com ships every WEDNESDAY of each week. Orders placed by 7pm on a SUNDAY will ensure the orders will be shipped WEDNESDAY of the same week. Any orders placed after Sunday 7pm, will be shipped the following WEDNESDAY.
Q: What are your shipping and handling charges and delivery times?
A: Standard shipping charges are based on UPS or Fed-Ex ground charges and destination zip code, at checkout you will have the option of shipping your package via UPS or Fed-Ex. The shipping charges is displayed before confirming the order, the price displayed also includes an ADULT SIGNATURE FEE in the amount of $3.50, as required by UPS/Fed-Ex and state laws.
Q: Which states Passportwineandspirits.com can ship wine to?
A: Many states prohibit out-of-state retailers from shipping wine to residents of their state. State laws on wine shipping are complex and under constant review, and we look forward to a day when all states open up to out-of-state retailers so we can offer you all our full assortment of products.
Unfortunately, in some states not even that will suffice, so keep those letters and emails flowing to your state legislators!
If your state has recently passed new laws regarding alcohol shipments, but the state is still listed below under "States where we do not ship wine," the new laws relate to wineries only, not to Direct Shippers like passportwineandspirits.com. Q: My Shipment was damaged when it was delivered, How do I get it replaced?
A: Most of the time if the shipment was DAMAGED during transit UPS and FED-EX will contact US and also contact the recepient that the package was damaged due to shipping. Once we get the notification from the carrier, we then will ship a replacement of the order. If there is only a partial damage to the package we will only replace the damage on the broken items. UPS and FED-EX normally will let us know if the entire shipment was damaged or partially damaged. Contact us at 716-565-WINE (9463)
Q: When do I assume ownership of the items ordered?
A: The purchaser takes all responsibility for the shipping to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the goods and products, Passport Wines & Spirits is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of products and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.
Q: Who is Responsible?
A: The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of goods. By placing an order with your credit card, you authorize Passport Wines & Spirits to act on your behalf in processing and shipping the order, including engaging a common carrier to deliver your order. The Customer is solely responsible for all taxes or fees levied by any taxing authority in the State of delivery. Passport Wines & Spirits will arrange shipment on behalf of the buyer, to an address furnished by the buyer that will not subject the seller to any sort of legal actions.
